Le Blush Creme de Chanel in 62 Presage is part of the Fall 2013 Chanel Superstition Collection. It is described as an apricot color but on olive to medium dark to deeper skin tones like me, it looks like a rosy coral. It’s texture right off the pan, is light and creamy but not too soft, and gives a satin finish with no shimmer when it touches the skin. It’s also one of the 2 Limited Edition shades from the Fall 2013 collection, together with 66 Fantastic which is described as a burgundy color.
How to apply cream blush? You can either apply this with your fingers or with a brush. In my case, I use a foundation brush from Sephora and it blends so easily. The blush is highly pigmented so I suggest that you swipe off the pan twice, then you can build it up to your desired shade. For those that got fairer skin, I recommend working with a light hand. It lasted for 9 hours on my bare face with no primer on and over 14 hours with primer and setting spray. It left a little bit of stain on my skin after its duration of wear.
Le Blush Creme de Chanel in 62 Presage is actually the first makeup I ever purchased from a luxury brand like Chanel. I do own a couple of Chanel’s eyeshadow quads but those were given as presents from my cousin, Imelda in Hongkong, who’s always been a fan of the brand. $38 for 0.09 oz. is expensive for an average (and even a luxury) blush in the market. But it is all worth the $38 I’ve spent. I’m always a fan of Nars the Multiple, for it being a travel friendly makeup. But the thing I’ve always observed with the cream blushes I’ve tried, they always leave a slight amount of shimmer, which is not too picture perfect for your pores. This product is different from any of the cream blushes you’ve ever tried. If I have some extra cash, I’ll probably purchase 66 Fantastic which is another limited edition shade.
Have you guys tried the any of Chanel’s Fall 2013 Collection Superstition yet? What’s your favorite from Le Blush Creme?
