You must be thinking right now, how in the world will I pronounce this shade? Like you, I am equally as perplexed. I did sent out a message to, Amy Doan, the founder and creator of Sugarpill and she said to just call it as it is. It is very enigmatic, strongly depends with your perspective. Some call it the F-word, others call it a term which literally means a fecal matter while a few call it literally as: at-number-dollar-percent-exclamation-point. Well, I will leave this all up to you guys but this eyeshadow from Sugarpill just blows my mind and let me explain why.
Sugarpill @#$%! Eyeshadow is described as a vampy pearl red with a silver metallic sheen. It appears as a midtone red on a blue base with silver glitter in a matte finish. This lasted an average of 8 hours with no primer nor base and over 14 hours with a primer and base with no apparent creasing. It’s the best formulation for a pressed powder eyeshadow from Sugarpill that I have tried so far because it doesn’t feel too powdery in terms of its consistency. It is very comparable with Fyrinnae’s pressed eyeshadows formulation. I hope Sugarpill will change the formulation of all its pressed eyeshadows into something like this, especially the Sugarpill Mochi, which I adore the color so much but hated the fall outs. It only got a minimal fallout on its silver glitter if applied dry but can easily be remedied if you apply over a sticky base or with a damp brush. The pigmentation is fierce that a swipe can take you a long way. Some reviews I’ve read left a stain behind, but in my case, it did not left a stain on my skin at all. When compared with my other red eyeshadows: Fyrinnae Sultry Samhain is more magenta, metallic and got purple glitter, Fyrinnae Hitched is warmer and got a satin finish.
There should be a reason why some products are kept limited edition. It’s one of the 1000 they produced exclusively for PHAMExpo and I am one of those that got lucky to purchase. Sugarpill had a 24 hour PHAMExpo sale last July 24th starting at 11am PST and at 5pm it was all sold out. I hope Sugarpill will make this shade permanent as the color is very beautiful. I seldom find a blue-based red that got true-to-the pan pigmentation in the market today. I always compare any funky and unique eyeshadow colors with Fyrinnae, as they set the bar high in that category. If Sugarpill is not planning to make this shade permanent, I hope they follow the formulation on Sugarpill @#$%! with their other pressed matte eyeshadows. It’s always nice to actually have a pressed matte eyeshadow available in the market, that will have no noticeable fall outs or won’t feel too powdery.
