This is the second part of my Riri Hearts Mac Fall Collection posts, which I feature another lipstick from it. If you missed the first part, you can read it here.
Riri Hearts Mac Nude Lipstick is described as a cool nude cream. It appears as a taupe beige with cool undertones on my lips. It lasted for an average of 4.5 hours wear time on me, which is pretty short-lived for a retro matte lipstick. It is about the same average wear time compared to the other Nude Matte lipsticks I’ve owned like: Mac Velvet Teddy and Mac Runway Hit. It appears as a “flat” beige for a woman of color like me. It lived up to its name as a true “nude” lipstick. The formula is the least drying from all the Retro Mattes I’ve tried from Mac. However, it is a slightly hydrating formula during the first couple hours of wear. It is encased by a glossy rose gold Mac bullet with Rihanna’s signature.
The Bottom Line:
It is a great Retro Matte Nude Lipstick for a woman of color, but I don’t think it will look best to all skin tones. Although, I’ve seen pictures of fair-skinned women wore this shade that can actually pull this off on Instagram. It is a matter of preference in the end. Personally, I love pinkish beige as my go to Nude lippie. I prefer wearing this with bold eyes paired with bold cheeks. I love the color of the packaging but I prefer the finish to be frosted than glossy. Just not a fan when your fingerprints appears all over the tube.
