Almost all makeup junkies and enthusiasts I know and have posted on makeup forum sites have all been raving about this palette.  It’s a limited edition palette for the holidays and you get 3 highlight powders with 1 limited edition shade for a little over the price of one.  The palette includes: Dim, Incandescent and Radiant Light.  Each of the 3 works with a specific task on me.  The palette also includes a 5 ml. Veil Mineral face primer as an added bonus in a deluxe sample size.  This palette is very handy and can fit any purse for a touch up quickie.

Hourglass Dim Light is described as a neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with the perfect balance of warm and cool tones.  I use this as my all-over finishing powder.  It gives out an added glow into my skin minus being shimmery.

Hourglass Radiant Light is described as a sun-kissed golden beige that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth, and also extends a summer glow.  I apply this over my contouring matte bronzer on my cheek bones to help out with my facial contour, and it does help a lot!  I got a very prominent cheek bones, especially when I smile, that makes my face rounder on the contrary.  So I do contour my face daily.

Hourglass Incandescent Light (limited-edition) is described as a pearlescent powder that highlights the cheekbones and brightens the complexion with a celestial glow.   I apply this as my T-zone highlighter.  Works very well and brings out that inner J-Lo glow in me.

Below are the swatches and photos where I’ve used the palette on 3 different looks.  Have you noticed the glow?

The Bottom Line:

The palette is worth the hype!  I got this at 20% off using my Friends & Family code from Sephora a couple weeks back.  And I’m glad I took the leap into the hype bandwagon.  Once you’ve tried this, you can never go back to your old highlighter, kiss it goodbye.  Or shall I say, it may take a discrepant mindset to switch into something new.  I love that it got a silky smooth and feels like butter in consistency without being too dry nor chalky.  It lasted for an average of 9.5 hours on me which I expect it will be longer than that within the next few months since it will be a lot drier.  I got dry skin most of the year and turns into a combination type during the hot humid summer days.  This highlighter trio is very flexible and works for all skin tones.  You have an option which ones to use as a main highlighter or a contouring aid.
