Hello Everyone! Happy Wednesday!
Did I just read that right? What Vitamin b6?
This is my very first entry for my beloved blog dedicated to beauty and fashion in different avenues. So let’s get into business: Behold! Welcome to the very first edition for Into Charisma’s Bucket List. This list will take you to upcoming and ongoing makeup launches and I will purchase and review these products to drive a point if it’s worth spending your hard-earned money or it’s just nothing but a hype.
Today, Let’s delve into Urban Decay’s B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray. It retails for $33 for a 4.0 oz spray bottle. This just launched over at Urban Decay’s website June 25th and will be available on the counters of Sephora this Fall 2013. It bears this tagline: “Give your skin a quick hit of Vitamins and calm a multitude of sins. Stabilized Vitamin B6 absorbs oil, minimizes pores and reduces redness.” According to Urban Decay’s clinical study after 8 weeks of use: Over 81% of participants had a measurable reduction in oil and surface shine, over 78% had a more radiant skin with less redness and fewer blemishes, a majority of participants had a measurable improvement in pore size and over 72% had a measurable improvement in their skin’s overall appearance. As to what a lot of you are thinking right now, this is too good to be true!
I am almost out of one of my daily makeup “Holy Grail”, Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray. I work 12-hour shifts and with a combination skin, you most likely will need more than just a primer. An extra help from an all-day, all-night, sweat- and oil-proof setting spray is HUGE! So back into this B6 complexion prep spray, like you, I’m equally as intrigued. The beauty bloggers who received and got the chance to try this on as a press sample, can attest to a few of it’s claims. It makes your makeup last longer, controls oil, reduces redness but still needs more time to notice any improvement with their skin and reduction of pores. But their clinical study numbers didn’t even disclose the number of % where the trials had reduction of pores. As a scientist, I need to be objective, I need numbers to prove it. I’m always an Urban Decay addict. I love their eyeshadows, primers and setting sprays. If you’ve seen my youtube tutorial videos, you always see an Urban Decay product used per time. But most of all, they are cruelty-free.
Regardless of the current reviews, which most of them didn’t give me all the answers I need, I still took the gamble and bought this product. By the time I receive this, I’ll be able to answer the questions that has been clouding our heads and be able to prove if their claims were true. This is a bit more spendy that my HG All Nighter spray but I’m taking this chance.
