One of the best things that ever happened while having a vacation in Mexico: I was able to snag the newly formulated Chanel Eyeshadow Quad in (232) Tisse Venitien. It will soon launch here in the states as part of the Chanel Fall 2014 Collection but it had long been released in some parts of Europe since last month. I first caught my eye of this beautiful (and also hard to find) quad in the Chanel beauty counter in Playa del Carmen. Me and my Mom-in-law were initially there to try and purchase a new mascara for her. She’s allergic with her current mascara making her eyes look very red and puffy. So I gave her some advice with the regards to the best mascaras that I have ever tried. We went to the Chanel counter and voila! The new Chanel Les 4 Ombres quads were already released in Mexico. I told my husband and my Mom-in-Law that I need to have it, I can’t wait for it to be launched in the US within the next 3 more months. The combo that’s on my wish list wasn’t available in the mall. Boo! But the very nice Sales Attendant told me that I should check out the Duty Free Chanel beauty counter at the airport since they do carry more products and continuously update the stocks on hand than the mall. I was very ecstatic and I literally screamed with excitement as the Sales Attendant pulled the very last box available for Chanel (232) Tisse Venitien Eyeshadow quad. Thank you for being so nice, accommodating and very helpful Eduardo and Monica.
Chanel (232) Tisse Venitien Eyeshadow Quad comprises of 4 unique color combinations of an emerald green ombre namely: (1) Blue Green, (2) Silver Pink, (3) Platinum Khaki and (4) Intense Green. It lasted for an average of 9.5 hours of wear time on me. It is not dry in texture with almost zero fall outs. I’m even impressed with the silver pink shade with micro glitter on it for a very tad bit, unnoticeable fall outs. The texture of every shade in the quad is pretty close with the Chanel Illusion de Ombre ones. I’d say it is a hybrid between a cream and a powder eyeshadow. It clings to both natural and synthetic brushes perfectly. As an added bonus, you’ll get a hefty amount of product than the old quads for the same price.
The Bottom Line:
These newly reformulated Chanel Les 4 Ombres quads are definitely a must have for every Chanel Makeup enthusiasts. If you are allergic to Talc or wouldn’t prefer dry, chalky powder eyeshadows, hence you must give these a try. If you also don’t like creamy eyeshadows as they seem harder to blend as soon as they dried up, this is a hybrid so won’t have that issue. It’s very easy to apply, close to nothing fall outs and got excellent longevity. It also got a wide array of ombre colors to choose from. It suits everyones preference: those who prefer bold colors or the subtle neutrals.
