I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. My weekend was very hectic. Work was busy, too many people sick over the weekend. Me and my husband are also busy looking for houses in the city. Yes! We are moving. I just accepted an offer for a supervisory job in a huge city hospital in Iowa. After getting my graduate degree, plenty of opportunities just came knocking at my door. With the new job, it comes with new schedules. I’ll have to plan ahead with my blog posts. Don’t worry, I’ll be hauling more makeup and writing reviews about them in the future. Although, I may have to limit and be selective with the choice of bold and bright colors since my new hospital got a very strict dress code.
Now moving on with my latest meteorites haul, Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls Illuminating Powder, just launched for summer 2015 and is limited edition. I purchased mine from Japan and I know this is already available in certain stores across Asia. I am not absolutely sure when and if we will ever get it here in the US. I asked several stores in the east coast and they don’t have any clue about the product and as well as its official launch date. In a brief summary, the Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls Illuminating Powder is a mix between the Guerlain Perles d’ Etoile and Guerlain Clair Meteorites. It color corrects at the same time gives some warm glow into your face.
Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls Illuminating Powder comprises of 6 different colored balls which not only highlights and color corrects but also gives a blurring effect. I even have to repeat my swatch photos because initially I thought my camera was pulling tricks on me. Haha. It went on for almost 10 hours of wear on me. I target my t-zones and my cheek bones in applying the product and I love how it mattifies my face in addition to color correction and highlighting. It’s a beautiful finishing powder for the summer since it gives a warm glow. My skin is always on the dry side which becomes combination during the warm humid summer days. I also puff a little powder after the 6th hour on my forehead and nose since my oil starts to creep out around that time. At some days when I am lazy to do my full face makeup, I use this as a face powder in lieu of my foundation. It prevents dullness, evens out skin tone for minor skin discolorations but won’t cover up dark undereye cirles and spots. You need a concealer to treat those.
The Bottom Line:
It sucks not knowing when the new Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls Illuminating Powder will reach our US shores. I’ll keep you all posted if I hear something new from my Guerlain contacts here. I’ve just decided to pick it up on an Instagram seller based in Japan. I have few powder deposits in my can which is very common during its shipment. Sometimes, you get lucky with all the balls intact. If you are very adamant to get this you can purchase this in foreign sellers online. Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls Illuminating Powder is a nice addition to ones meteorites collection and also a great haul to start a collection. Here’s a tip: you can mix your Guerlain Perles d’ Etoile from the holiday 2014 collection and your Guerlain Clair and you’ll get the same effect as the Guerlain Meteorites Rainbow Pearls Illuminating Powder. Are you a certified baller like me?
