ColourPop launched a very limited edition, like literally in limited quantities for summer 2015. It took me awhile to post my reviews and swatches due to lack of motivation. I always cringe every time I see myself with all the weight gain I have currently. That’s why I was stalling with this post. Anyways, these 4 tie dye shades were available last July 2nd for everyone. At first I thought they will be all frosted but it’s only ColourPop Flamingo that’s frosted and the rest are metallic. Well, it’s just kind of hard to describe because it contains glitter, the bigger kind and shimmer. The textures are consistent with the rest of the ColourPop eye and cheek products that they are cream to powder. And having said that, synthetic flat brushes for eyeshadows and an angled synthetic blush brush come in handy.
ColourPop Road Trip is described as a cool toned silver beige with warm glittery accents. It appears as a bright and cool beige with golden undertones and very prominent shimmer. It lasted for almost 9 hours of wear on me. The texture is creamy but not too soft nor stiff and doesn’t leave an oily residue on your face. The pigment is very intense on this one. Since it is very shimmery, I just applied a layer on my face. But definitely can be built up according to how much shimmer and glow that you need.
ColourPop Summer Lovin is characterized as a soft metallic beige bronze. It appears more of a warm rose gold with bronze undertones on me. It lasted for 7 hours of wear on me. This is a shade that I find it hard to show up over my skin. It requires at least 5 layers. The texture is like butter. This doesn’t contain as much of a glitter than ColourPop Flamingo.
ColourPop Flamingo is described as an icy metallic light blue. It appears as a cool silver sky blue with big chunks of glitter. It lasted for almost 8 hours of wear on me. The pigment is alright, requires 3 layers to show up on my skin. I do have issues of glitter fall outs from this shade. The texture is not dry but the glitter is a cumbersome.
ColourPop Rip Tide is described as a warm coral, pink with glittery highlights. I will update this post as soon as I get done with my review. But for now, enjoy the swatches.
The Bottom Line:
I am not quite sure if ColorPop is bringing these shades back again. Although, ColourPop Summer Lovin is a repromote. My favorite from this collection is ColourPop Summer Lovin and Road Trip. I am not a fan of ColourPop Flamingo due to the horrendous fall outs. These are great colors to apply on top of a lip gloss and worn as metallic lipsticks. I also liked wearing this on my mid lids as an accent piece. Were you able to grab something from this collection?
