Hello everyone! Are you all busy packing Christmas presents, making a list and checking them twice? It will be a low key Christmas for my family. It’s actually the first time, after we got married, to be spending Christmas just the 3 of us: Nick, Bruno and Me. Hopefully, we’ll have a white Christmas this Friday but I guess, it will not be white, no precipitation within the next few days but definitely bitter cold. Anyways, Mac x Mariah Carey All I Want lipstick is a nice collaboration for the holidays this year which has long been anticipated from both of their fans. Colourpop Stingraye and Rayezor are also a collaboration from a youtuber, Raye Boyce. These colors are part of the “fail-proof mauves” gang. I prefer wearing these together.
Mac x Mariah Carey All I Want Lipstick is described as a frosted champagne shimmer. It appears on my lips as an almost metallic frosted cool toned beige with silver undertones. It lasted for almost 3 hours. It is a non drying frosted lipstick from Mac in which I was having issues with dryness from other frosted lipsticks I’ve tried from the brand. Although it’s non drying, it’s not hydrating either. It is highly opaque, very pigmented and it only takes two passes to reach its full opacity. I’ve also worn this on my lids, as an accent over a darker matte lipstick and as a cheek highlighter.
ColourPop Stingraye Ultra Matte Lipstick is characterized as a cool toned mauve brown. It appears as a neutral mauve with strong purple undertones. It lasted for over 7 hours and left a stain which lasted for an additional 3 hours. It is a non drying, non hydrating formula. It also never turns patchy throughout the course of its wear. A single dip from the tube takes care of my upper lip and an additional one for the lower half. It dries in less than a minute and doesn’t have any scent.
ColourPop Raye-zor Lippie Stix is described as a warm peachy nude in a matte finish. It appears on my lips as a neutral peachy beige with yellow undertones. It lasted for almost 4.5 hours and never left any stain on my lips. It is moderately opaque and feels tacky like a satin lipstick. It also has a “clay like” scent which is true to all ColourPop Lippie Stix that I am not a fan of. It is non drying during the first 4 hours but feels slightly drying after that. It’s a pretty shade on brown skin and also looks great when you top this over ColourPop Stingraye.
The Bottom Line:
Mac x Mariah Carey All I Want is a nice lipstick to give this Christmas for someone who loves wearing frosted lipsticks. It appears differently on different skin tones. On my brown skin, it’s more frosted silver than frosted champagne. ColourPop Stingraye and Raye-zor are for those who love wearable lipsticks that you can pair on almost any eyeshadow. I like the versatility of the Mac All I Want lipstick especially if you prefer cream eyeshadows and highlighters. I use a Mac 187 brush to blend the product on my cheeks and just my fingers on my lids. ColourPop Lippie Stix and Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks are nice stocking stuffers this Christmas. I still got more products to review and post so stay tune. Until next time…
